Lovely Sunday lunch & great outdoor space for children
We went for Sunday lunch today and it was really nice. The food was well worth the price. Lovely beef and large helpings of veg and the staff were very attentive. There were 6 adults and 3 children in our party and we sat on the patio after lunch while the kids played on all of the activities outside (trampolines, duelling inflatable, fun bus and bouncing castle). We’ll definitely be returning soon.

Went for evening meal for my friends birthday. When booking I was asked if it was a special occasion. When I said it was my friends birthday I was asked if they could decorate the table. My friend was really surprised and was even more surprised to receive a sparkler in her dessert and the staff singing Happy Birthday. The food was excellent and we can’t wait to return.

Treated like royalty
Just home from a wonderful afternoon tea for 30 of my family celebrating my grandmas 90th Birthday. We had the private marquee and bar and were treated like royalty. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was lovely fresh and tasty. Cakes were fresh and tea and coffee served throughout our day. Thank you to Julie and the lovely lady that was on hand taking our family photos and fetching us drinks and making sure we had everything we needed. We will be back soon to have Sunday lunch or a bar meal. Thank you

Sublime eating experience
The ambiance of this restaurant is quite superb very fortunate to have it on our doorstep. When you arrive you are shown into a new bar area that is decked with lovely seating and decor while our table is prepared and we were never left by the staff always asking if we were ok but we never felt rushed at any time. When we sat down and ordered the food it arrived in very good time and it was so tasty I had to thank the chef for his efforts
This place had everything we needed as a large family with quite a few of our friends, we got there and were shown to a new bistro bar area while we were waiting for our table the children were allowed to play outside in what can only be described as a superb play area that had a double decker play bus and a bouncy castle, they have also added a new feature that has a large water fall feature and two robotic dinosaurs on each side of the bridge, the children loved this. They had so much to do we never worried about them at all as they played we could watch them from a superb patio area. We were then called into dinner, there was 21 in our group and we never had to wait long to get our meals, the meals themselves were of the highest standard, even the children’s meals were well prepared. We feel very blessed as a family to have such a destination that we can visit, it is not only for family the restaurant was brilliantly laid out out as well and is a lovely setting for just my wife and myself or a group of adults. I can also advise to look at their Christmas and new year parties, I have been for the last 5 years we have such a great time.

Afternoon Tea for 2
Me and my partner went for afternoon tea. Greeted with a warm welcome by staff and a waitress showed us to our table. Table was already set for our arrival (we had booked). The waitress was very polite and very organised, she asked what hot drink we would like.. tea/coffee and brought over two tea pots full. Our afternoon tea then arrived and was lovely. Nice selection of different sandwiches and a lovely selection of cakes. Scones with cream and jam and really fresh and moist cakes. Would go again next time to try out the main menu for a change. Would recommend going very nice food and good service which is hard to find the two together now days.

Afternoon Tea for 2
Whilst staying at the hotel (separate review to follow) and before attending a charity event later in the evening we decided to have an afternoon tea. Very accommodating of food allergies that both of us have, we were surprised howich food was presented to us. Great tasting sweet and savoury snacks that would easily have served at least one other person.
Overall great food, good service and nice surroundings.

Lovely Birthday Meal
We visited for a friends birthday – 8 plus toddler & we couldn’t have asked for better service, food & atmosphere. Great choice & excellent prices! We have been a couple of times before & will definitely revisit! Many do not know it exists, so I’d encourage people to give it a try!!!
Brilliant All Round!
We visited the Quicken Tree with our MG owners Club – there were 28 of us – we had found the Quicken Tree online and had pre ordered our meals. The communication prior to the visit and during the visit was excellent. We were all served each course in a timely manner and the food was delicious and plentiful. The service was attentive but unobtrusive. the ambience in the restaurant is relaxed and the décor is modern but comfortable. A summertime lunch would be lovely overlooking the lake. Highly recommend this restaurant either for a group or a romantic meal for two.

Thank You for Such a Special Day
We had a party of 28 people celebrating my Mum’s 80th birthday and can’t thank your team enough for helping to make it such a wonderful and memorable day. Not only was the food excellent but also the service, it was second to none and everyone within the party commented on how good it was. No doubt many of those people within the party will be frequenting the restaurant from now on and rightfully so as it’s absolutely fab…complements to the chef!

Excellent Food in Ambient Surroundings
I’ve eaten at this restaurant on several previous occasions and have been most impressed with the standard of service and quality of food without being overly pretentious as some other high end restaurants can be. The duck salad starter was a taste extravaganza followed by an equally superb sea bass dish and a great selection of cheeses to end. I love this location in the summer also as there is a good view over to the lake.

I’m not one for a la carte dining, but thought I’d give it a go via discount voucher. Prices were reasonable at full price so with around 50% off I’d be daft not to try it out. Mid week, so not very busy which was nice. I’d assumed a la carte meant I’d still be hungry at the end, not so, portion size was pretty good, after the starter and main I was pretty full, but I made room for a dessert. Staff were attentive and polite. I quite happily return with friends and family and would recommend giving it a try.

Christmas Lunch for 33!
From the very first enquiry in April restaurant manager Gordon was extremely helpful. On the day the room was lovely, Phil and the waiting staff looked after us brilliantly, the meal was excellent with both the beef and turkey proclaimed as ‘best I’ve ever had’ and very generous portions. The atmosphere was relaxed and festive. We couldn’t ask for more. Thanks to everyone at The Quicken Tree for making our Christmas day with our relatives visiting from America so special.

Christmas Day at the Quicken Tree
This meal was excellent. The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble, the portions were very generous even for the largest eater. Thank you all for making a special day great!
Fantastic Evening at the Quicken Tree!
This was my 3rd visit to The Quicken Tree and it just gets better and better. The service was excellent and the food was fantastic. Will definitely be going back soon!
Have been to this restaurant for two Christmas functions and for a family Sunday Lunch. On all three occasions the food has been excellent and really good value for money. The grounds are lovely for an afternoon stroll and I really cannot fault it. Don’t be put off by the frontage. It doesn’t look much like a restaurant from the front but you will be pleasantly surprised once inside.
A Great Time
Thank you for the marvellous day. Please thank all the staff for the way we were looked after and the chef for our lovely food. We all had a great time.

Frank Sinatra tribute night was excellent. The food was extremely good, the entertainment was also excellent, would definitely recommend any future nights. The staff very helpful could not do enough for you, tables are spaced out so you are not on top of other people, and the location is lovely.

More people need to discover this place. A little out the way but worth it. Perfect surroundings, the meal was faultless thank you very much.
The Food Was Faultless
Just to say a big thank you to the staff for looking after us on Friday 03/01 for my Dad’s 80th birthday. The food and service was faultless.

The service was excellent as well as the ambience of the restaurant. The menu selection and food presentation was good and we felt it was value for money. It was our first visit to the Quicken Tree, but we would come back again.
Definitely Value for Money

We have come for dinner at the Quicken Tree before and would recommend it to others. The service and food presentation were excellent as well as the quality and taste of the food.
We’d Definitely Recommend It
We found every aspect of the restaurant excellent. The food, ambience, menu selection and presentation were brilliant. It was our first time dining at the Quicken Tree, but we would definitely recommend it.

We have been lucky to eat at the Dorchester Hotel twice and this was so much better! Your chef is a ‘beef genius’, all courses were returned as totally empty plates. Thank you so much for the excellent service, ambience (very classy but subtle touches) and once again – the food!

Don’t Hesitate to Visit
If the opportunity comes your way do not hesitate to taste the exceptional food, and atmosphere created at the Quicken Tree.

Deserve to be Packed Out Every Night
This weekend we had six friends come to Nuneaton from London for the weekend. These people are used to dining at some of the best restaurants that London has to offer so I needed a quality venue with food and service to match. Without wishing to insult many of our local eateries my choices were very limited but from experience The Quicken Tree was top of a very small list.
From the moment I enquired about a reservation until we arrived on Saturday night your staff were extremely helpful, polite and friendly.
When we arrived we were made very welcome and after a drink were shown to our table. The variety on the menu plus the list of specials was superb and the presentation of the food was only exceeded by the quality of the ingredients and the skill of the chef who cooked everything to perfection.
My guests were genuinely impressed by the whole experience as was I, so I would like you to pass on our compliments to everybody involved in making our evening such a wonderful experience.
Nice, Relaxed Dine
We enjoyed the visit to the Quicken Tree and found it to be relaxed and informal with good service and a nice ambiance. We ordered the same 2 starters which was the crispy duck with carrot ribbons, beansprouts and hoi sin sauce. It was very nice with crispy duck in generous portion and overall a good starter, presented very well. We also ordered the bone steak with chips which was very generous, well priced and the chips were delicious!
We found the Quicken Tree a lovely place. The food is outstanding. We had vegetable soup with a few croutons which was beautiful. For the main course we both had t bone steaks served with chips and a baked tomato and mushrooms, cooked as ordered. The overall comment I would say, was a very enjoyable evening with delightful food. Would we go again?…very soon I hope.
Very Relaxed and Welcoming
Very relaxed and welcoming atmoshere. Modern restaurant with scattered star lights giving a cosy feel but the tables are not too close together. Varied menu which is not run of the mill so making you selection more difficult! My friend and I started with the crispy 5 spiced duck which was a good choice followed by the fillet of beef (very succulent) with wild mushroom fricassee. The hardest selection for us was the desserts – we wanted to try them all! Staff very attentive who do not rush you through the meal. Well worth a visit!
